December '07 FIRST FRIDAY
Santa Claus will arrive via a short parade to announce the holiday season! Watch for photos!
November '07 FIRST FRIDAY
The November First Friday did not have music in the streets. With the shorter days, Havre de Grace Main Street instead promoted a Scavenger Hunt. Everyone had questions and went to various stores for the answers. Drawings from all the correct answers was done at 8:30 pm for one of two large gift baskets. It was chilly, but a perfect evening for a November Scavenger Hunt. It was also the final weekend for the Ghost Tours (offered through October by Havre de Grace Main Street)

Above, the Ribbon Cutting, organized by the Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce, for The Art Rooms was truly a fun time. Here Mayor Dougherty laughs with everyone as they try to get those big scissors to work!
Below: The cash register was busy til way into the evening during The Art Rooms official grand opening.

October '07 FIRST FRIDAY

Camelot Bridal celebrates their Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting organized by the Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce. Above, Bethany and her two children, and partner Sean get ready!

Sorry folks, I was a bit late for the BIG ribbon cutting. But here Steve Gamatoria, Havre de Grace City Councilman has just cut the ribbon at Camelot Bridal. To note: they also offer evening and cocktail dresses as well as prom attire.

Although the days grow short, there were several great bands around town, including this one next to Stephens Clocks.
September '07 FIRST FRIDAY

In August we highlighted the many service volunteers (ambulance, firemen and women, etc.). Above: an antique truck that had everyone talking. Below left: Ron Adams, board member on Main Street, has a big green 'cause he's ALWAYS wanted to sit in his very own fire truck. NO... it's not his... but he can pretend. Right? On the right is Jack Fox, one of our exciting musicians, entertaining throughout Havre de Grace during out First Fridays.

Below left is a young fan of DaNica and on the right is another band entertaining the crowds at Legion Square.

Okay, George, wipe that grin off your face. George, owner of Bahoukas, has sponsored DaNica for nearly the entire First Friday season. And there's absolute consensus from shops and crowds that she's great!

Below left: Live models move about in the windows of Camelot Bridal, enchanting us and letting us know that they'll be having a Grand Opening soon. What a GREAT publicity gig! And these young ladies are beautiful!
Below right: Becky of Doodad's and friend Bob Greene (rt)
are excited to introduce poet, Larry D. O'Neal.

Below: Poet Larry D. O'Neal speaks "his words" to a very entralled crowd.

Sail boats on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, antique cars on Franklin Street, folks enjoying music, shopping and restaurants throughout town.... what more can we ask for on a perfect First Friday!

August '07 FIRST FRIDAY

This IS the fun part. And even our "furrkids" want to join the party. Margaritaville in downtown Havre de Grace brings out the fun in everyone. Here, we're ready to party at Pampered Paws Gourmet Treats! You see? Everyone can play during our First Fridays.

It may be hot as blazes,
but the music continues and everyone has fun.

Okay, okay. So they are MY kids. But, hey, I update the website. :-) Scott & Tina Schnell enjoy a night away from their North East business, EastCoast Powder Coat, and join the fun with the antique cars on Franklin Street.

Another band at Legion Square entertaining with some awesome toe-tappin' music.

Hey, can two little guys have more fun than this? A free ride, music to listen to, and a face full of Cotton Candy! I'm sure they'd thank Treasures by the Bay personally, but, hey, they have some serious eatin' to do!
July '07 FIRST FRIDAY

Center Stage is where you'll find the Main Street booth, the main stage music, kids table and more... need directions? Stop by here - corner of Pennington and Washington!

George from Bahoukas shares the fun of First Fridays. Don't let the sour look fool you... she was having a GREAT time!

Folks line the streets everywhere. Enjoying music, shops, sidewalk specials, seeing old friends and meeting new ones!

Above: A local (right) joins in the fun at the Main Stage, playing his harmonica with the band.

Everyone LOVES the face painting. Here, my granddaughter enjoys a bit of patriotic flavor!

Music! Music! Music! Something for everyone all 'round town!

June '07 FIRST FRIDAY
Angel's just on the other side of Congress Avenue on S. Washington Street celebrated their opening! I believe a family member runs this car! What fun to visit and enjoy $5 hair cuts (yep, that's our friend Walt taking advantage of a great deal!)... and we both left with a hot dog to munch! Congrats Angie, Bev, and the rest of the gang!
Karen's Pampered Paws Gourmet Bakery was the site of a few Canine Weddings. One lucky lady is waiting for her beau to show up. The newly married canine couple are awaiting a bite of Karen's special wedding cake created just for her furkids! What fun!
You can't help but look twice at this "His & Hers" set of classic 'vettes! What fun to have a peek... and oh, the envy!
SONiA and Disappear Fear make you dance, laugh and cry with exciting music.
Crowds gathered throughout the evening to enjoy her sounds!
Jack Fox (left) teases our memories with many of the old rock and roll tunes and his heartfelt renditions.

Will Height,
one of the new kids on the block, delighted everyone
with his strong up and coming talent.

Kids drop by throughout the evening to see the clowns, get their faces painted, and work on a mural or some beaded crafts during First Fridays in Havre de Grace, MD
MAY '07 FIRST FRIDAY
The Dancing Heart on Franklin Street held their official Ribbon Cutting during May's First Friday. The Ribbon Cutting is sponsored by the Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce. The First Fridays are organized by Havre de Grace Main Street and sponsored by The Residences at Bulle Rock. The kick-off for 2007 was a great success!

At Legion Square FlashBack entertained with gusto. As the evening grew, so did their crowd.

Choo Choo Charlie is a regular at Havre de Grace's First Fridays. But some folks aren't quite sure......

Folks stroll through historic downtown Havre de Grace and enjoy GREAT and diverse musicians, play with the clowns, have their faces painted, and enjoy specials at many shops and restaurants.
Below: One of the many shops that enjoy the energy and excitement of First Fidays in Havre de Grace.

This father and son team were absolutely amazing. The 'youngster' had all of us boomers stopping to listen. Incredible that he could get us clappin' and toe tappin' with his energetic renditions of the old time rock 'n roll.
